About the Couple
Smitha Achar, and Supreeth Bhat, will be joining hands in holy matrimonial on November
7th, 2008. Supreeth graduated from
Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India with a BE in electronics & instrumentation,
received a masters degree from
Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA in Computer Science. Smitha
graduated from
Visweswariah Technology University, Puttur,India with a BE in Computer Science.
Supreeth currently works for IT Department in a Financial Firm in Northbrook, Illinois
and resides in Hainesville, Illinois. Smitha currently works for Infosys Technologies
Ltd, Mangalore, India. Smitha is planning to take a short-term leave and enjoy our
new life together!
How We Met
"A marriage in India is considered a marriage of families rather than the marriage
of individuals. Once you understand this concept, one can even appreciate the beauty
of arranged marriages. The parents try to solder the bonds with their friends by
arranging marriages between their respective children."
Our beloved parents made the initial choices of filtering and finding a suitable
match for each other. After years of patience, perseverance and decisions (based
on astrology, family and virtues), they handed over their selections to us and we
took our time to get to know each other and learn more about each other. Our first
introduction was on the virtual world, thanks to techonological advancements of
mankind, we started chatting online on May 24, 2008. A few weeks later I called
her for the first time and spoke for an hour or so. We decided to reserve our decisions
until we meet in person but we both knew that we were meant to be with each other.
Finally I made my week-long trip to India, met her and her family on July 7th, 2008
and we were engaged on July 10th, 2008! It was a magical day in our lives!!

Supreeth :), my smile can tell you how happy i am to marry him. He is smart, fun-loving,
and family-oriented person. He balances very well with family and work.

Smitha is a sweet heart. She is hard-working, passionate, loving, caring and devoted
to her family. She likes to have fun with friends, and once you get to know her
better, she is very outgoing. She is culturally strong and has the modern etiquette.
